Just gotta try it !

Here's a recipe that you should really try. It's not only healthy, it's deeee-licious!


Whole Wheat Spinach Penne
1-13 oz. package whole wheat penne
2 garlic cloves
1/2 c. low fat mozzarella cheese
1 oz. fat free cream cheese
1/2 tsp. black pepper
3/4 tsp. salt
6 oz. fresh baby spinach
2 TBSP. fresh grated Parmesan
portebella mushrooms (optional)
cooked shrimp ( optional)

Cook pasta, reserve 1 cup of cooking liquid. Mince garlic in food processor. Add mozz. cheese, cream cheese, spinach leaves and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy. In large pot over medium heat, combine cheese mixture with pasta and add enough liquid until moist. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

I added portabella mushrooms and shrimp. Chicken is another good addition to this recipe.

1 cup serving = 250 calories
4.5 g. fat
42 g carbs
6 g fiber
